Our goal at Southern Smiles Orthodontics is to give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our team is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality and personalized care that you deserve.

MEET DR. COURTNEY

Dr. Courtney grew up in Roanoke Rapids and graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 2007. She attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where she received a B.S. in Biology and graduated with Highest Distinction. She continued her education in Chapel Hill and graduated at the top of her class from UNC School of Dentistry in 2015. Her clinical and academic accomplishments helped to earn her membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Courtney then moved to Louisville, KY, where she completed a two-year residency program in orthodontics. Courtney graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry with a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. Courtney has successfully passed the American Board of Orthodontics written examination.

Dr. Courtney now resides in Roanoke Rapids. Outside of her dental career, Courtney enjoys travel, fitness, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She has a one-year old son, Cayman, and a nine-year old grey tabby named Squirrel whom she adopted from the Humane Society.

Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honors: University of North Carolina School of Dentistry

Certificate in Orthodontics: University of Louisville

Master of Science in Dentistry: University of Louisville – Thesis based on research with Invisalign treatment.

Successful completion of the American Board of Orthodontics written examination.
