The Barn Kitty is a tack and wear shop loaded with antiques, clothing, gifts, local art, and tack. Fuller frequently shops for antiques, and she will add plenty of what she purchases to the store’s inventory. The Barn Kitty will feature an antique section for the guys under the antiques banner, Man-tiques.
The new storefront is in the front portion of the building, which also houses The Fix Salon in the back. Fuller opened The Fix Salon in May 2023, and it has grown into a successful business with a healthy clientele. Fuller credits the community with all the success.
“We literally could not have done anything here without the support of the community,” Fuller said. “They have supported me in everything from the beginning.”
The community is already lending a hand in assisting Fuller with her new venture. Heidi Ellis stepped in and volunteered to help Fuller price the store merchandise and set up the store’s decor. Lisa Crawley brainstormed all the planning and design of The Barn Kitty, and Shane Harris designed the Barn Kitty logo. Why The Barn Kitty?
“Most everybody that has horses, has a farm, they usually have a barn kitty, and they are cats that just kind of hang around the barn and keep everything in order, and keep the pests away. That’s how it got launched into the name The Barn Kitty.”
