LongBridge Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the Lake Gaston community since 1991. Formed by local resident M.O. Dunlevy, his son Bruce Dunlevy has been chief since 1998. LongBridge has also proudly hosted the “Fireworks on the bridge” event every year since 1998. Our other main fundraiser is Friday night Turkey Shoots that run from the first Friday in October to Thanksgiving, weekly at 7pm. We’ve recently added a new 26 foot fire boat to our fleet in an effort to better serve much of our district.
If you are interested in donating to LBVFD please mail a check to the address listed and on the memo line write Fireworks, Boat, or whatever you would like to donate for. All donations are tax deductible and gladly accepted. Longbridge is also always in need of volunteers. We have space for more firefighters but we also need people to run trucks, help with paperwork and fundraisers or even grant writing. Thank you for your support.
