About the Kennon HouseLocated in a historic landmark ("The Mud House" built in 1792),"The Kennon House" is a Lake Gaston destination and outstanding dining experience featuring upscale comfort food with a special flair. Managing Owner, Dennis Monds, with executive chef, Nick Sitzanis, and staff will welcome you warmly.You may choose to dine in our "red room" for menu service that features a more intimate setting with soft lighting and white table linens or in a more casual buffet room accented with a huge fireplace, that is open on weekends — and when we host a "Grand Buffet" for special occasions such as Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, and Thanksgiving. We also have a take-out and bar area.The Kennon House can accommodate larger groups in private dining areas upon special request; please call ahead to arrange.
