Wobble Island Inc.

Wobble Island Inc (WII) was established in 2021 as a 501c(3) charity.  For over 7 years prior to establishing WII, there was a local fundraising event held on Labor Day called Lake-a-palooza, which has grown each year. To continue to grow the support from the local businesses and individuals, we felt the need to create a charitable organization.

In 2021 we were blessed to have raised over $22,000 and we donated $20,000 to charities ($10,500 was donated to the three local fire/rescue stations at Lake Gaston).  We are hoping to maintain this level or fundraising. This year’s event will be held on Sunday 09/04/2022 from noon to six at Wobble Island on Pea Hill Creek. Our 2022 dedicated organizations are the Roanoke Valley Veterans Museum in Littleton, NC and one again the local first responders.

We are soliciting support from the local business community. We need items to auction at the event.  If your business can provide monetary contributions, items to donate, gift certificates, or even swag bags please reach out to info@wobbleislandinc.com.  We have posters to hang in local establishments as well.
